Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto has bad news for any die hard Final Fantasy fans who are itching to see the last Super Nintendo editions of the series on Nintendo DS.

Fans have been craving more Final Fantasy games on DS after playing Final Fantasy III and IV, which were complete remakes of the NES and SNES games in 3D, complete with full motion video cut-scenes.

But Hashimoto has left a message on his Twitter account that says the saga's following games, FFV and VI, are presently undecided on DS because "there are technical issues".

Final Fantasy V and VI are available to play in their original Super Nintendo sprite form on Gameboy Advance, but some mysterious technical troubles at Square Enix towers are preventing the games from going the full 3D route.
