Mobile puzzle games are popular, and so are wizards – 18 squillion Harry Potter fans can't be wrong after all. So it stands to reason that a new mobile game combining the two will be a mighty powerful thing.

Meet Spellboys, the latest game from German publisher HandyGames.

Spellboys is a 50-level puzzle adventure game, starring a most-definitely-not-bespectacled apprentice magician called Hocus who has to battle monsters by destroying coloured stones. The game has been designed to be played with one button, and boasts a 'dynamic difficulty level' that adjusts to your skill as you play.

The game is out in April, and will have two game modes – Story and Professional – to keep you interested. There's also a comprehensive tutorial to ease you into the gameplay.
