Disney Mobile is the latest mobile games publisher to be waxing lyrical, following the success of the WAP portal launched for its recently-released game NOM.

The site enabled players to compare high scores, and access a few freebies. Disney was so pleased with its performance that an upgraded version is being launched for its upcoming mobile version of DS release Spectrobes.

This time, you'll be able to see how your score compares to others in daily, weekly and monthly tables, while there'll also be exclusive cheats published on the portal, to tempt you back for repeat visits. Plus Disney will be offering competitions, and free wallpapers and screensavers.

"Over time we aim to enhance the interactivity between portals of different games and also allow for interaction between the same game on different platforms," says Thomas Garanin, MD of Disney subsidiary Living Mobile. "Gamers will find features like direct challenges, chats, buddy lists or polls, as well as further extensions to the individual game they enjoy so much."

Disney plans to roll out more community portals for future games.
