Space Falcon Commander announced for mobile
Retro-styled shmup and demo now available
A new multi-platform developer, Rapid Turtle Games, has just announced its brand new mobile title, Space Falcon Commander - a mobile shoot-'em-up in hot retro style.
The game places you in the role of an elite commander controlling an advanced fighter called the Space Falcon. Swarms of enemy aliens attack in classic, high-octane vertical scrolling action over 48 levels featuring four big boss rounds, a wide variety of power-ups and bonuses, and an online score board.
It's also refreshing to see a developer being so forthright about its creation. Rapid Turtle Games seems more than happy to admit its game is deliberately thin on plot, since the development emphasis went on balls-out action instead - which sounds pretty good when discussing a retro-style shooter.
