Inafune confirms that his horror-action Vita title Soul Sacrifice is heading to Europe and North America
Another spine mess
Comcept, the company fronted by ex-Capcom legend Keiji Inafune, has announced on the EU PlayStation Blog and the US PlayStation Blog that its gory action-horror title Soul Sacrifice will be making its way over to Europe and North America.
Soul Sacrifice is a dark, violent tale of sacrifice and power, and includes a special move that sees the protagonist ripping his own spine out of his mouth to use as a weapon.
Renowned composers Yasunori Mitsuda (who worked on Chrono Trigger and Kid Icarus: Uprising) and Wataru Hokoyama (who wrote the score for Resident Evil 5) are handling the music and the soundtrack.
With great power"Cruelty is a reality in our world, and we have to make sacrifices and pay costs on a daily basis," Inafune notes in both the EU and US PlayStation Blog post.
"I wanted to blend this 'reality' theme into a fantasy world, one filled with magic, and create a new type of gaming experience that relied on the player making sacrifices in order to obtain great power.
"There is a 'dark pleasure' lying in between fiction and reality that none of us knew was there. If you simply think of it as a 'dark fantasy', then your expectations will be betrayed - but in a good way. Please look forward to Soul Sacrifice. It will be a game that players around the world will surely enjoy."
