With Sony chiefs looking to double their sales of PSPs between now and the end of the year, there are some good deals for the PSP-less. The big one will be the PSP Giga Pack.

Available in limited numbers from the 21st of November, it is designed to replace the current standard £180 PSP Value Pack. So instead of the 32 MB Memory Stick Pro Duo, you’ll go large with a 1 GB Memory Stick - so much better to fit all your music, photos and videos onto. Other extras in the pack include the usual AC adapter, a USB cable for connecting with your PC or Mac and a neat stand for watching UMD movies without you resorting to holding your PSP or angling it using some books and a DVD case.

Sony also announced it has shipped ten million PSPs globally, with 4.5 million in North America, 3 million in Japan and Asia, and 2.5 million in Europe. Almost 200 games have been released, with total sales of around 20 million. Around 15 million UMD movie disks have also been sold.
