Writing on his blog (www.danmorelle.com), the owner of online retailer ElectricBirdLand, Dan Morelle, remains defiant concerning his court case with Sony about the importation of PSPs from the US.

Heading his first comment after Sony won an interim case against him, “Victory”, the 27-year-old Morelle claims ElectricBirdLand is the first single-person company to secure a cross undertaking obligation from Sony. This means should the court eventually rule against Sony, it will have to pay ElectricBirdLand for the PSP sales it would have gained had it not been forced to stop by the current court case.

Morelle says he originally asked Sony for such an undertaking but the company refused to grant it, hence his victory claim.

A campaign is now on for ElectricBirdLand to file witness statements and evidence for its defence. Morelle is asking for anyone who has seen PSPs on sale in the high street to help out, especially if they have photos.

And if all this wasn’t stressful enough, Morelle’s wife is expecting the couple’s second child, due this weekend.
