Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing iOS updated with characters, track, AirPlay, and more

Pocket Gamer Platinum Award-winning Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing has been updated with a bunch of new content and features, including two fresh characters - Knuckles and Shadow - and a new track to speed around.

The rather substantial update also introduces support for several of Apple's newer technologies, such as AirPlay and iCloud.

The former service allows you to jump behind the wheel as one of Sega's most iconic characters and put your pedal to the metal on your big screen via an Apple TV, with the latter software keeping your save data synced between the numerous devices you play on. There's also HDMI-out support.

Furthermore, character faces will now appear on your mini-map during single-player races. If you jump into a multiplayer race, you'll see your opponents's Game Center profile pics, instead.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is available to download from the App Store as a Universal app for £1.49 / $1.99.
