Beeline and Capcom have released the next entry in the seemingly unstoppable force that is The Smurfs onto the App Store. Or, to be exact, they did last week, and we smurfed it.

Smurfs' Grabber is a semi-sequel that sees you picking up mushrooms and creating potions with a variety of grabbing machines, reminiscent of that frustrating seaside claw crane game where you never, ever, win the fluffy toy. Ever.

Thankfully, grabbing ingredients for potions is a lot easier than getting a Pikachu, mainly due to the fact that it just revolves around tapping on the object you want, rather than wrestling with levers.

There’s the usual gamut of features, such as a levelling system, multiple unlockable characters from The Smurfs universe, and coins that are earned by waiting a certain amount of time (this is a freemium game, after all).

However, one unique aspect about the title is that you can also earn items for your Smurfs' Village, so if you’re significantly more invested in your Smurfy virtual home than I am (that’s not hard), you can link the two titles up and smurf some unique smurf.

Smurfs' Grabber is available now for iPhone and iPad for free. Help with building your Smurfs' Village is also available now for free. Here.
