PS4 games can be played on Sony Z3 phones and tablets with remote play
|

Sony has announced that PS4 games can be played on its new Z3 smartphones and tablets by streaming through remote play.

In case you're wondering, yes, it's the same "remote play" system used for streaming console games on the Vita.

In this case, your PS4 game is streamed to your Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact, or Z3 Tablet Compact Z3 via Wi-fi.

You then need to grab a PlayStation dual-shock controller to hook it up with the phone or tablet using Bluetooth.

As this may make holding your tablet or phone a little difficult, Sony will be selling an optional mount that connects the controller to your Z3 device.

Note that for the game's stream to be effective (i.e. playable) you'll need to have really good Wi-fi in whatever room you're in.

So, unless, you have really good internet speed, this might not be quite as good as it sounds.

The Z3 devices will be able to stream PS4 games from this November onwards.
