Samsung have finally revealed the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in their Unpacked live stream 2016, and it looks like a must-have.

As Samsung's narrowest design to date, its gorgeous curved display is wrapped in Gorilla Glass 5, making it harder to crack your front or back screen than ever before. Soon available in four colours including its brand-new Blue Coral, the Note 7 will be dustproof and waterproof (up to five-feet of water for up to 30 minutes).

One of the coolest new features of the Note 7 is its new biometric option in the form of an Iris Scanner to improve security further. Rather than using a passcode or pattern to unlock your phone, it's possible to open it with a glance instead.

It also features similar specifications to previous Notes, including a 12-megapixel back-facing camera, 64 GB of storage, 4 GB of RAM, and a micro-SD slot expandable up to 256 GB.

Another exciting feature is the S Pen which comes included with the phone and doesn't require charging. The S Pen features a 0.7 mm nib to make notes and artwork more accurate. This feature is especially useful for artists as the inclusion of an oil brush feature makes it possible to blend colours like you would on a real canvas.

You can also use the S Pen to pin notes to a section that's 'always on display', as well as use it for other useful little bits, such as instantly translating words into your desired language.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has plenty of useful accessories available, such as the waterproof battery 'backpack' for charging on the go, and compatibilities with Fast Charging and an improved, more comfortable Gear VR.

You can expect the Galaxy Note 7 as early as August 19th with pre-orders starting within the next few days.
