Godsome: Clash of Gods, a new strategy MMO developed by Nexon, opens pre-registration for select regions

Legendary developer Nexon has announced the pre-registration for its latest project, a strategy mobile game called Godsome: Clash of Gods, which has begun in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, and the Philippines. This new strategic MMO combo hopes to combine real-time strategy gameplay with the massive player counts usually found in the genre, allowing multiple folks to do battle on a huge map while commanding sizeable armies.

While the way this one is described might remind you of a game like Clash of Clans or one of the other hundreds of big RTS-based online mobile titles released as of late, Godsome might differentiate itself in a few big ways. For one, from the sound of it, it looks to be somewhat adjacent to a lot of bigger 4X-strategy games like Civilization or even Crusader Kings, where gaining territory and controlling parts of the massive nation is the primary focus.

On top of this, there appears to be quite a bit of story and lore on display here, which is pretty rare to see from this genre. Godsome focuses on the pre-established lore of majestic Gods and Goddesses ripped straight from numerous mythologies, ranging from Greek pantheons to Norse and everywhere in between.

This does mean you’ll also have a ton of options as to what characters and factions you want to choose.
Combine all those elements with a pretty in-depth sounding upgrade system for each God that you manage to collect and there seems like there might be a lot to dig into here. There’s a ton of competition within this genre, so it’ll be interesting to see how Godsome stands out from the rest once it launches.

As of right now, there isn’t an official release date, unfortunately, so we’ll simply have to wait. For the players who are in those regions, you can currently pre-register at either of the links below this article. In the meantime, you can also check out the official website for more information and screenshots too!
