Call of Duty Mobile offers up an exclusive new operator for anyone who pre-orders the upcoming Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty Mobile offers up an exclusive new operator for anyone who pre-orders the upcoming Modern Warfare 2

Fans of the Call of Duty series will be excited to learn that if you pre-order the upcoming next entry into the title, Modern Warfare 2, you’ll receive a new character for use within the mobile adaptation of the popular multiplayer shooter; Call of Duty: Mobile. This character is the fan-favourite Ghost, and this is the only way to get access to the operator within COD: Mobile.

To clear up some confusion ahead of time, Modern Warfare 2 is not the old 360-era release but is instead the sequel to the more recent Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that dropped in 2019. It’s due out later this year, so you’ll have to get your pre-order in pretty soon if you’re looking to access this new character in COD: Mobile.

Why is this character specifically such a big deal, you might ask? Well, the Task Force 141 operator Simon “Ghost” Riley has been a long-time fan-favourite since his original reveal in the old Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 back in that 360 release. This cold and calculated operator is adorned with a skull-like mask that makes him stand out from the rest, and even within the 2019 Modern Warfare, he is still used to this day due to his super cool outfit and cool demeanour.

Within COD: Mobile, there is another Ghost operator that looks somewhat like Simon but lacks the cloak-like cape this new iteration of the character wears. This adds a lot of swagger to his look and makes him look like he leapt out of some superhero movie of the modern era. Basically, to sum up, the answer to that question, is Simon “Ghost” Riley just looks really badass.

With the recent addition of Season 9 to COD: Mobile, there’s never been a better time to try to get a hold of a cool operator like this one. If you’d like to get access to Ghost, you can pre-order Modern Warfare 2’s Vault Edition over at the official website, and from there, you’ll receive a code to gain access as long as your Activision account is linked.
