Albion Online celebrates fifth birthday by bringing player-made statues to life with Living Legacy event
Massively popular fantasy MMORPG Albion Online has announced its latest update; a fifth-anniversary event called Living Legacy. This celebration will bring some really interesting new enemies with it that will be essentially living versions of player-designed guild statues as open-world enemies alongside some other new additions and cosmetics up for grabs.
Before we touch on the smaller additions, we’ve gotta talk about what is possibly one of the most unique updates I’ve ever seen added to a game. The name of the event, Living Legacy, is taken quite literally, as all of those custom-made guild statues that your guild and others have created are now actually coming to life, and will be able to be found roaming the open world as enemies that you can actually do battle with.
These new enemies will be found in three different rarities, ranging from Construct to Colossus to Titan, each having a bigger health pool, doing more damage, and giving better rewards upon defeat. They each use a variety of magical and physical abilities to keep you on your toes.
Along with this cool new addition, we’ve got some other smaller add-ons as well. There will also be Season Winner Statues walking about the open world, and after killing them, you’ll be able to get some unique items including a new Riding Horse skin, the Chromacannon vanity weapon, and the Anniversary Cake which boosts your Fame. There’s also a special Avatar and Avatar Ring for players who log in during this time, and an exclusive Twitch Drop available by watching the anniversary stream hosted on Friday, July 15th at 19:00 UTC.
So, with all these potential rewards and new enemies to fight, there’s never been a better time to try out Albion Online or to get back into it. If you’re looking to do so, you can check it out at either of the links below!
