iPhone's Smack Boxing returns to the ring

It was down, but not out

iPhone's Smack Boxing returns to the ring

We actually went to review Smack Boxing a short while back, only to discover it wasn't there. Well, we just heard from developer Magnus Blikstad of WIT Entertainment about the mix up with the App Store. Here's Magnus to explain:

"We haven't been able to get a completely straight answer as to what exactly happened, but it seem like something went very wrong on Apple's end. When we uploaded the 1.1 update the live version simply disappeared from the store.

"We're really sorry about this whole mess and want to thank all our customers who have been patiently waiting for the situation to get resolved.

"We've also decided to keep the low introductory price of $1.99 for a while longer since the game has been inaccessible for so long and we've pretty much have to start a fresh building the momentum."

These things happen, and we're just glad to see the iPhone's first boxing game get back into the ring (and the reduced price is quite welcome, too). Keep an eye out for our further Smack Boxing coverage now we can go toe-to-toe with the review once again.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
