SlotZ Racers to get HD overhaul, plus free Caterham Special version out next week

First released long, long ago - January 2009 to be exact - small scale racer SlotZ Racer is getting long awaited refresh.
The first part of this sees a brand new, free version released.
Called SlotZ Racer Caterham Special, it features five of the idiosyncratic open-topped British sports cars, letting you race them around seven tracks and through four championships, which are based on real-world Caterham events.
Slotting inIn addition, the original SlotZ Racer games - not updated since 2009 - will get a major overhaul.
Renamed as SlotZ Racer HD, it will support iOS 5, Retina displays, iPhone 4 and iPad 2,
And in keeping with the freemium model of publisher Freeverse (owned by ngmoco), SlotZ Racer HD will be free-to-play, with car packs, including the Caterhams available to purchase.
Neatly, the game will also have a multiplayer Party mode, where players can use their iPhones or iPod touches as throttle controllers when playing on a iPad or on a TV via AirPlay.
SlotZ Racer Caterham Special is due to be released on 9th January for iPhone and iPad.
