Silent Hill is one of those games where the developer has made the bold decision to switch genres when taking the franchise mobile, which has definitely paid off in the first and second instalments.
A third addition to the pocket gaming series, Silent Hill Mobile 3, has been announced by Konami, according to GamesOnDeck. It'll follow the same gameplay pattern as its predecessors.
The majority of the game uses still images to really add lavish gore to the darkly disturbing settings, with a point-and-click adventure mechanic overlaid on the artwork.
This is interspersed with quick, intense first-person shooter scenes to add a bit a few scares to the psychological horror that franchise is famous for.
No details have been released yet on the plot or characters, other than it'll continue the events of the first two games and bring the trilogy of mobile titles to a close, though Silent Hill Mobile 3 has been given a loose release schedule of Spring 2010.
