Scope out Marky marksman

Shooter movie adaptation coming to iPhone

Shooter wasn’t an entirely bad movie – Mark ‘Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch’ Wahlberg did a pretty good job as the military trained marksman who goes rogue after he’s set up and left to take the rap for something or other. Where the whole thing fell apart was the tediously one-dimensional antagonists led by Danny Glover, which could yet spoil the newly announced iPhone game of the film.

In a similar vein to iShooter and the excellent Silent Scope coin-ops, you’ll use the accelerometer to guide your scope as you pick off bad guys for hundreds of yards away with a high velocity sniper rifle.

Graphically this looks like a pretty fine effort, and also appears to include a spotter segment to help you locate the targets before switching over to the rifle, and even some night vision sections.

Put the trailer below in your sights, and we think you’ll agree it hits the spot.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
