iPad version of Sherlock Holmes Mysteries is afoot

Sherlock Holmes Mysteries may have already been solved on iPhone and iPod touch, but there's still work to be done on iPad.

Warner Bros. has revealed plans to release an iPad-enhanced version of the adventure game for the device's launch.

The world's most famous detective will reprise his role in the two cases featured in the original iPhone version, though new features should make the rerun worth it.

Chief among them is the new Puzzle Boxing Tournament that has you fight through a dozen opponents by identifying their weaknesses and then going in with knockout blows. The fighting mechanics largely mirror the multi-touch system used in the iPhone version.

Also promised is the ability to play in either portrait or landscape mode. Of course, higher resolution graphics are pledged too.
