Madfinger Games - the team that brought us the impressive Samurai II: Vengeance and the slightly less impressive Samurai: Way of the Warrior - are back with Shadowgun, a third-person thriller set in 2350 and due in 2011 for smartphone and tablet devices.

In Shadowgun you'll play John Slade, a bounty-hunter and certified brute, tasked with hunting down renowned geneticist and ex-corporation type Dr Edgar Simpson.

Along the way you'll have to eliminate scores of Simpson's mutated, cyborg army and infiltrate his heavily guarded mountain fortress.

The game features an arsenal of weapons and ships, as well as Slade's personal assistant S.A.R.A, who may or may not be some kind of robotic Navi from The Legend of Zelda.

MadFinger is developing Shadowgun using Unity's development platform. It's coming not only to current bleeding edge Tegra 2 devices but also to devices beyond the bleeding edge, packing the Nvidia’s Project Kal-El quad-core processor.

More news as we get it.
