Brand new screens emerge from the darkness

With its promise of innovative interactive gameplay (time-based events, in-game characters sending texts, use of the camera, and so on) and its fantasy premise of being able to look into another world within our own, it's hardly surprising we got all excited about Shadow Born when it was first announced back in October.

Now that we've actually got a chance to glimpse the game itself, we're if anything even more intrigued.

As you can see from the screens, the game has evolved into a fantasy roleplaying/creature collecting game, in which you bind with magical creatures such as vampires, werewolves and unicorns to create a supernatural fighting force.

And with much of the ground-breaking original wish list still in place – such as characters from the game sending you text messages, and interacting with your phone's calendar and to do lists – and the game world existing within our own (although how we're still not exactly sure), our palms are sweating in anticipation of a hands-on test.

Click 'Track it!' now to ensure you don't miss out when we get to grips with it later this week.
