Exclusive Sensi Soccer game kicks off for mobiles

Codemasters launches its own mobile publishing wing with Sensible Soccer Skillz

Exclusive Sensi Soccer game kicks off for mobiles

They say that the best football players make the game look simple, in which case the classic one-button action of Sensible Soccer must classify it of at least premiership pedigree.

And by the same rationale, the latest 'Sensi' outing, Sensible Soccer Skillz, could prove a veritable Pele.

The new game – heading exclusively to mobile phones this month – completely does away with the patient midfield passing, and focuses instead upon controlling one player at set pieces. Matches between the eight international sides in the game will be decided purely on penalties, free kicks and corners using a modified version of the familiar Sensible Soccer controls.

Die-hard fans will be pleased to know that the trademark aftertouch has been retained though, enabling you to wrong foot the defence or keeper.

With cute graphics and plenty of touches of Sensi-humour promised in pitch-side antics and goal celebrations, it's fair to say that our expectations are high for Skillz, which will also mark the full arrival of UK publisher Codemasters onto the mobile gaming scene.

We'll be slotting a full review into the onion bag later this week. In the meantime, check out the screenshots and video above, and click 'Track It!' to have us pass a link to the review directly into your inbox, so you can be first to check out the final score.
