Meteoric PC point-and-click gets DS treatment

Secret Files: Tunguska bringing explosive intrigue to the DS

PC point-and-click adventure Secret Files Tunguska is coming to the DS, with a release promised before the end of the year.

Beginning in 1908, the story revolves around an unexplained explosion. The blast, which is 2,000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima atomic bomb, shakes the central region of Siberia, Tunguska, causing widespread devastation and leaving a trail of unanswered questions in its wake.

Cut to the present day, and Nina, a normal girl with a normal life, is thrown into a world of chaos when her father mysteriously disappears. Soon it comes to light that Nina's father's disappearance is linked with the unexplained events of 1908, and with only a young colleague of her father's, Max Gruber, on her side, Nina sets out to find her father and uncover the mystery behind Tunguska.

The game's visuals are a mix of 2D backgrounds and detailed 3D characters and are so far looking very polished. There will be a selection of tough riddles and puzzles to crack along the way, but the developer responsible for the DS conversion, 10tacle Studios Mobile, has not disclosed any info about whether the stylus will be implemented in a unique way or just used to mimic a mouse.

Given their suitability to the DS, we welcome any new point-and-click adventures on the console and are keen to see how Secret Files: Tunguska turns out. Click 'Track It!' to stay on top of any updates we uncover for this intriguing looking title.
