Episode one of Scarlett and the Spark of Life, a point-and-click adventure on iPhone and iPod touch, has gone free in a collaboration with OpenFeint.
The game features the kidnapped Princess Scarlett, who’s sick of waiting for a knight in shining armour to turn up and rescue her. So instead she uses her wits and a few bits and bobs strewn around her dungeon to construct a mechanical horse and break out.
The off-beat adventure is a point-and-click adventure with inventories, conversation trees, and plenty of head-scratching logic puzzles. It’s also got a unique visual style and an eclectic cast of humorous characters.
In our Silver Award review we called it “a charming, easy-to-love adventure”, and noted “the introductory episode of Scarlett and the Spark of Life is a fine start for a promising new series.”
