Brian De Palma's crime epic Scarface has made an appearance on games consoles, rap lyrics and every episode of MTV's Cribs.

But now Tony Montana's drug fuelled antics are put into the spotlight once again for this new iPhone app.

Published by Starwave Mobile, who put Capybara Games's Critter Crunch on iPhone, Scarface Last Stand pits you as Al Pacino in an arcade-shooter rendition of Scarface's final three minutes.

From the moment you "Say Hello to my Little Friend", you kill an almost endless parade of goons trying to take you down.

You want some of this?

Unlike the movie's memorable scene though, Scarface Last Stand doesn't last three minutes.

You've got 30 levels, two game modes, 15 weapons and plenty of achievements to get through. That should last you a while.

This isn't, as the description hastily points out, an open world, fully controllable, thirdperson, action-adventure game.

"Simply point and shoot," developer Tricky Software says, "don't f*ing over think it."

Scarface Last Stand is available now on iPhone and iPod touch for £3.99 or $6.99.

There's also a mobile phone version, which Pocket Gamer gave a favourable review.

Update: We incorrectly attributed the development of Scarface Last Stand to the game's publisher, Starwave. The game was developed by Tricky Software.
