It is a good viewpoint to see the world as a dream

Samurai: Way of the Warrior tempers its blade on the iPhone

There's something quite exciting happening on the iPhone. As the multitude of gaming genres begin to overflow on the bulging App Store, developers are finally turning to the fighting game as a way to push a bit of extra innovation in their games.

Samurai: Way of the Warrior enters this rapidly burgeoning arena, putting you in the wooden sandals of a vengeful, righteous ronin. The evil Daimyo known as Hattoro is spreading fear and misery around the foothills of ancient Japan, and only Daisuke Shimada (that's you) is willing to oppose him.

The hack and slash swordplay is rife with authentic Japanese style, and sheds the awkward on-screen D-pad in favour of touchscreen gestures - a bold move that's vital to establishing this underfed genre on Apple's platform.

The App Store listing recommends Samurai: Way of the Warrior to fans of extravagant scrolling fighters like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry. Check it out.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
