Carphone Warehouse prices Samsung Galaxy Tab at £530

UK retailer The Carphone Warehouse has revealed how much you’ll need to shell out if you want a Samsung Galaxy Tab, the seven-inch Android powered tablet, without being tied into a contract.

£529.99 will get you a standalone Galaxy Tab. That’s the exact same price as a 16GB wi-fi 3G iPad. There’s no cheap Tab alternative with the 3G connector ripped out, though, as there is with Apple's device.

If you want a discount, you can get a contract. The Warehouse is offering the device for £499.99, with a £10 monthly contract, which includes a 1GB data allowance.

The upcoming tablet has Flash support, access to Android’s 70,000 apps, and two cameras - one on the front for video conferencing and another, 3-megapixel snapper around the back for photos and HD video.
