Sk8 Half Pipe ollies onto the App Store
It’s easier than emptying your swimming pool
Skating is cool. It’s what cool people do, and since cool people also own iPhones, it kinda makes sense to combine the two and become super-awesome-cool.
Of course, saying "cool" too much isn’t cool - in fact, it’s a sign of mid-life types trying to sound cool, and failing.
Anyway, the righteous dudes over at iCompany are ultra-super-awesome-cool, as they’ve put together a half pipe skating simulator for the iPhone, called SK8 Half Pipe, which is currently going through the submissions process right now.
It’s also bagged a bunch of sponsors for the game and will be offering monthly prizes for the iSkaters with the highest scores.
The website for both the game and the developer are currently under construction, but registering at http://sk8halfpipe.com/ will get you in the competition once the site goes live.
Hopefully SK8 Half Pipe will be with us in the next few days, as will our exclusive hands on preview from GDC, so get your Vans on and your elbow pads off.
