Russian Roulette goes mobile
Shoots you, sir
Shoot-'em-ups are so old hat. The hot new thing in mobile is shoot-yerself-ups. Well, possibly.
Russian developer JoyBits has unveiled its latest game, Russian Roulette. And no, it's nothing to do with balls, wheels and casinos. It's proper Russian Roulette, as in pointing a gun to your temples and praying.
"Every shot raises the probability of blowing the brains all over the place," explains JoyBits' press release in beautifully blunt fashion. There is a storyline, though: your character has been captured by the Mafia, who rather than kill you straight away, pitch you into a Russian Roulette tournament.
(Who knew they had tournaments for this sort of thing? Is there a seeding system depending on how many times you've lost before? Oh, hang on…)
The game also has a pass-the-handset multiplayer mode for up to six people. JoyBits is looking for distribution, so we may see it coming to western handsets soon.
