Pixeltin has just debuted on the App Store with a three dimensional version of '4-in-a-row' or, since we're not quite so bound by copyright issues, Connect 4.

Using the iPhone's 3D capable graphics and multi-touch screen, Rows 3D allows you to rotate the board to place 'stones' on the pegs in an attempt to create a line of four coloured pieces while blocking your opponent.

The CPU controlled opponent has five difficulty levels, although you can also go head to head with a friend in two-player mode. With a handful of different board configurations, Rows 3D looks like it could easily please boardgame fans, and at only £1.19, it should appeal to cheapskates, too.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
