Rogue Racing, which we told you about back in September, has just raced onto the App Store for free.

Glu's racer sees you face off against cut-throat AI opponents across three different game modes - Street, Time Attack, and Elimination - using one of 24 customisable gas-guzzlers.

You can 'pimp' said cars with over 50 different aftermarket modifications, including rims, spoilers, exhausts, decals, and neon lights.

According to its App Store description, Rogue Racing "pushes the limits of mobile hardware with incredibly detailed car models, high frame rates, and dense racing environments."

That'll be why it doesn't support the iPhone 3GS, Apple's third-generation iPod touch, and any other earlier devices, then.

In need of repairs

Rogue Racing has been the unwelcome recipient of a number of scathing one-star reviews since it slid into the App Store, mainly due to its freemium approach.

"Run out of gas, buy more. Too slow to win? Buy parts. Could be a cool game, but it is a total ripoff. Bring you credit card!," one such review reads.

Still, if you want to test out Rogue Racing for yourself, you can download it as a Universal app for free.
