Space-aged puzzler Rocknor's Donut Factory gets iPhone sugarcoating

Pretty much every other food creation game has been invented so why not robots who make donuts?

Actually, we're informed that Rocknor's Donut Factory was released years ago on the PC by Monolux, who have done a deal with Duff Research to bring the game to iPhone.

Another gap in our food creation game knowledge highlighted.

From roller to deep fat fryer

A maze-based puzzler, you have to correctly place the various machines that take the dough, shape it, cook it, add toppings and then ship it out to customers.

Of course, each of the five factories has its own mazey twists and turns which you have to negotiate, and you only have limited machines to place. At least most levels have multiple solutions.

In total there are 111 levels to play through using 15 donut-making machines, plus the ability to change the speed of the factories and set up profiles for up to four players.

Rocknor's Donut Factory is out now, priced 99c, €0.79 or 59p for a limited time.

You can see how it plays in the following video.
