No PSP to PS3 link up for Rock Band Unplugged

We can understand the lack of a guitar peripheral for the upcoming Rock Band Unplugged on PSP. After all, you’d look a bit stupid throwing rockstar shapes on the bus, as you would holding a controller that’s five times bigger than the device you’re playing it on.

Slightly harder to swallow, though, is news that there’ll be no link up feature between the PSP version and its big brother over on PS3.

Now, we would have thought that being able to download tracks from one to the other would be a handy feature for owners of both machines, especially given Sony’s willingness to herald the two devices’ connectivity. But a recent interview with 1UP saw Harmonix giving a flying V to the idea.

We’re still eagerly readying our virtual plectrums for the game’s June release, though.
