Robocalypse - Mobile Mayhem arrives on the iPhone

Pocket Gamer exclusively revealed that developer Vogster Entertainment was working on an iPhone adaptation of its heat Nintendo DS game, Robocalypse - Mobile Mayhem, way back in May when we ran an exclusive hands on preview.

So it was great to see the game had finally arrived while window shopping at the App Store this morning. It comes complete with hilarious characters, storyline and dialogue written by Jay Lender (of Spongebob fame) and Micah Wright.

This comedy RTS places you in control of ten different types of units, 20 varieties of weaponry, 17 campaign missions, 18 multiplayer maps and a completely redesigned touchscreen interface that allows for both portrait and landscape orientation.

Probably the most exciting thing about Robocalypse - Mobile Mayhem is the real-time online multiplayer battles, which allows up to four players to go head-to-head or co-op across all of the multiplayer maps.

You can check out our exclusive preview right here, and take a look at the game's rather dynamic trailer below before hitting the 'Buy It!' and running, not walking, to the App Store.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
