Super space strategy sequel for cellphones

Settle down Kids, it's time for this week's history lesson. Master Of Orion was an ace space strategy game back in the early 90s, where you had to explore and colonise the galaxy. It was a bit like Civilization, except in space. Obviously.

Nobody's snapped it up for a mobile version (yet), but Rise Of Antares 2 sounds pretty close. It's a space strategy game where you're in charge of an interstellar corporation with political ambitions.

I think this is code for: 'Rule the galaxy with an iron fist. Kidnap princesses. Breathe heavily'. But I could be wrong.

Anyway, the result looks set to be an engrossing think-'em-up, with you controlling fleets of ships, balancing diplomacy with aggressive expansion, and researching and discovering a host of new technologies to help you along the way.

We're looking forward to seeing if Rise Of Antares 2 can live up to our fond memories of Master Of Orion. Stay tuned to see if it meets them.
