Xpect's Race After 1977 has been updated. The update brings improved car handling, new braking and suspension systems, and even slicker graphics.

Looking like an intriguing hybrid of Mad Max and Split Second, the game sees you racing scrapped-together 1970s cars through a post-nuclear wasteland.

Xpect's custom proprietary engine gives it a tactile physics-driven feel, the four wheels of your car responding to the bumps, cracks, and slopes of the fractured road surface.

It fared reasonably at review, getting six marks out of ten from Pocket Gamer's Tracy Erickson. Our major complaint was with the car handling, which this update aims to address.

Version 1.1.0 of Race After 1977 is out now, priced £1.79 / $2.99 / €2.39.
