Game shows are often tedious affairs. There are only so many times you can watch that episode of Countdown where Carol Vorderman spells a rude word by accident before you start to question your viewing habits.

By contrast, the Mutant Bash TV game show at the heart of post-apocalyptic iOS frag-fest Rage HD is anything but dull.

And just to make things a tad more exciting, Rage HD developer id Software has issued an update to its visceral first-person shooter.

At the newly opened Mutant Bash Store, you can now purchase an episode pack for £1.49 / $1.99 that will thrust you into two brand-new Mutant Bash TV episodes.

id Software has also included some high-resolution skins in this latest update, plus HDMI video support for viewing the game's stellar graphics on your massive television.

You can download Rage HD from the App Store right this second as a Universal app for £1.49 / $1.99.
