Last month, our top sleuth Anthony went deep undercover to unearth the news that Relentless Software was working on a follow-up to popular iPhone trivia game Quiz Climber.

He emailed the company, basically.

Lo and behold, Relentless Software's free app Quiz Climber Rivals is now available on the App Store. The original has been removed from sale, in case you were wondering.

Anyway, this updated version contains a number of social features including Game Center and Facebook integration, global leaderboards, and weekly competitions.

Quiz Climber Rivals also includes brand-new questions across ten different categories, varying levels of difficulty, a new average answer time score, and a mute icon that allows you to enjoy your own music while you play.

Relentless Software is giving away an iPad 2 to celebrate the launch of Quiz Climber Rivals. To be in with a chance of winning an Apple tablet, you'll 'simply' have to answer 40 questions in a row correctly. Easy.
