Pocket Gamer’s sister site Quality Index has spent all October scouring the internet for reviews of iPhone games from a variety of well-respected sites like Pocket Gamer, 148apps, IGN, Slide to Play, and many more, to discover exactly what game would 'score' if all us reviewers were melded together to create a super-mega reviewer.

It looks like October was a cracking month for iPhone releases, with the million-selling Cut the Rope topping the critical charts, averaging 9.1 out of 10 from 18 review sources.

In second place was the indie-smash Linkoidz from Retro Dreamer, sitting pretty on the same mark as Cut the Rope, but from only from four reviews so far.

Larger publishers make up a good portion of the rest of this month’s new releases, with Gameloft’s Modern Warfar- I mean, Modern Combat 2 taking third position with 8.9 from 14, and Galaxy on Fire 2 from Fishlabs managing an excellent 8.7 from ten.
