Ideaworks Game Studio has spent an awfully long time beavering away in relative anonymity, mainly thanks to the company often being hired to work on others' games, like Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies for Activision, or Backbreaker for NaturalMotion.

Now, however, it's hoping to break away and create a completely new IP on its own, with a small internal team calling itself Secret Sauce.

QuBIT is the first title from the new studio, taking the form of an "experimental genre mash-up" that combines high-speed 3D racing with puzzle-based colour-matching (inevitably to an up-tempo electronic beat).

So far the company has only released a few rough demonstrations of an early build in action, but it does look promising, even at this early stage, thanks to the eye-catching graphics.

QuBIT is scheduled for release at the end of June.
