Nintendo has revealed some fresh details about the all-new Pokemon World Tournament gameplay mode that's due to debut in Pokemon Black & White 2 in October.

This new game mode allows you to compete against classic gym leaders from previous Pokemon games, such as Lance (a.k.a. the Champion of the Johto Region) and Volkner (who you'll have bumped into when you visited the Sinnoh Region).

You'll be able to obliterate your opponent using the new battle styles and moves introduced in Pokemon Black & White 2.

You'll enter the Pokemon World Tournament as a part of an elimination tournament, which includes single battles, double battles, triple battles, and even rotational battles.

Using Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection, you'll also be able to battle with special trainers and some of the top players from this year's Pokemon Video Game World Championships.
