It's Christmas. That means the staff of Pocket Gamer is drunk, if not on alcohol then on the giddying sensation that comes from receiving numerous expensive presents.

All this frivolity means we're not writing stories today. To enable you to connect with us in a different way - one that doesn't involve the transmission of news, reviews, and features concerning the world of portable gaming - we've decided to go on about ourselves a bit.

Meet Will Wilson, Pocket Gamer's swarthy fag-smoking, podcast hosting, recently driving test-passing resident of Cambridge, England. Will is a fan of fine wine, avant garde music, and becoming enraged at people who 'camp' while playing the game Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Favourite portable gaming platform?

Currently, it’s the iPod touch. All-time would be the Nintendo DS

Favourite portable game of the year...

Tilt to Live – it’s basic, yes, but I keep going back to it, every journey I make.

...and of all time?

Advance Wars (GBA) or Burnout Legends (PSP) – both made me miss my stop and resulted in some exasperated arguing with the ticket inspector to avoid a fine.

Favourite home console game of the year...

Bayonetta – managed to break a joypad trying to go through it a second time on Hard.

...and of all time?

Civilization IV. If it has to be a console title, then probably Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Will you be getting a 3DS?

Yes – I’m going to be first in line (or alternatively, I’ll pre-order it in the spring.)

What are you hoping to get for Christmas?

I might jump onto the PS3 bandwagon, before it disappears over the hill.

What's your new year's resolution?

See if those Kinect fitness games actually do help you lose weight. Will make the task harder by only eating burgers and kebabs.
