Merry Christmas from Pocket Gamer

You didn't think we'd forgotten, did you?

Merry Christmas from Pocket Gamer
|

Hello dear readers. Just a quick note to wish you a fabulous Christmas and New Year break. We're currently on ours – we've had a busy year, we'll have you know.

Don't believe us? Well, in the past 12 months we've added sections for videos, demos and free games; launched PocketGamer.biz, a mobile game industry-only version of yours truly; came up with iPhone and Android sections; sailed into international expansion waters with Pocket Gamer France; developed an iPhone edition of the Pocket Gamer site and quickly followed this with a Pocket Gamer iPhone app; we also ventured into Pocket Gamer TV and came up with the Pocket Gamer iPhone gaming video podcast

Sheesh, that's a lot of Pocket Gamer

Oh and obviously we've grown the site throughout the past 365 days – we're now bigger and, we like to think, better than ever. The Guardian believes so – it named us one of the Top 100 sites for the year ahead.

Anyway, we didn't go off on holiday without leaving you a little something. Yes, our now traditional end-of-year features are lined up and ready to go so if being stuck in the house with relatives isn't doing your blood pressure much good, why not escape for a couple of minutes by finding out what our favourite games of the year have been, what we've considered the worst pocket gaming offenders, and what we're already looking forward to in 2009?

Until then, happy gaming and thank you for reading in 2008.
