Johnny Two Shoes drops price of nautical adventure Plunderland, also releases Plunderland Free

While UK indie powerhouse Johnny Two Shoes continues to work on its anticipated Prevail (due in February), it's sneaked out new version of its much admired Plunderland game - a Pocket Gamer Silver award winner.

The difference with the new version is that while all the same content is available in Plunderland Free, you have to unlock levels four and beyond using in-app purchases.

$1.99 is required if you want to unlock the complete game, or you can buy individual level packs for 99c/69p.

There have been some other tweaks too. The menu system has been re-structured, there are some new ship customisation options, some performance improvements, and Twitter support is included within the app.

These updates will flow through to the paid version of Plunderland in the next update, when the game's price will also drop from $2.99 to $1.99 to match Plunderland Free's IAP.

And the really good news is that even in the free version of the game, there aren't any ads because developer Johnny Two Shoes has 'always hated adverts inside apps, especially games'.
