Finn It To Win It

Playman grabs a couple of gongs, with soccer on the way

Finn It To Win It

We’re big fans of Mr Goodliving’s Playman sports games, which eschew the genre’s traditionally fiddly controls in favour of one-thumb action and colourful cartoon graphics. It seems that Finnish TV show ‘Tilt’ agrees with us, as it’s just anointed Playman Summer Games 2 as the best mobile game of 2005.

More importantly, though, Mr Goodliving is preparing for the release of the seventh game in the series, Playman World Soccer. It’s due out in February and will come in 2D and 3D versions, depending on how swanky your handset is.

We’ve had a sneak preview, and we’re overjoyed to report that unlike most other mobile footy games, this one won’t have you throwing your phone away in frustration at the controls. Really. Stand by for a review soon.
