Who said manga had to emerge from Japan only? Certainly not French publisher Delcourt, which has to date published eight volumes in the Pink Diary series from 'mangaka' Jenny.

Very popular in its domestic market and neighbouring European territories, Delcourt is keen to raise the franchise's international awareness and this push into new territories will be lead by a video game adaptation.

Developer Biodroid has secured the rights and is currently busy bringing the hormone-filled Pink Diary world to DS in the form of a dating sim and digital diary aimed at young and teenage girls.

You'll be able to follow the emotions of Kiyoko, Tommy, Sei, Akemi, Kenji, Sachiko, Sophia and Yuki, solve puzzles and look for hidden items, share gifts with friends via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and, of course, manage your own digital diary. Because the life of a teenage girl is never still.

Pink Diary is due for release later this year.
