Developers so keen to get you to play their games now that they're offering all sorts of incentives.

In the case of iPhoneGameRebate you can get cash back, whereas the Chip & Dare promotion from French developer Mad Monkey Studios is supported by monthly competitions whereby the players with the highest scores win prizes such as gaming laptops or packs of consoles and games.

The latest game to be promoted in this way is the intriguing PicoGP.

It's a flick racing F1 game in which you have to use your finger as your car's propulsion system, literally flicking it around the race track. As the following drawing demonstrates...

It's not just about finger power however as you'll have to select the right gears and the correct racing line in order to win.

Designed with multiplayer in mind, up to six players will be able to race off in hotseat mode and there's an full online option too. While the single player modes are three Championships, a Time Trial and a Quick race.

Players who get the highest scores can win branded products worth over $300.

As well as PicoGP, other Chip & Dare games include Training 2010, Basketball 2010 and 2010 Beachvolley.

Check out the Chip & Dare website for more details.

PicoGP should be released during the next couple of weeks.
