To be honest, we've pretty much given up when it comes to feigning incredulity over the weird and wonderful 'games' and 'applications' coming out for the DS.

Personally Fashion Dogz was the last straw for me, closely followed by Beginners Wine. Frankly I just can't wait for the release of The Anarchist Cookbook. It's got to be on its way.

Anyway, while we're waiting, make yourself comfortable, pull your feet behind your ears and roll around the floor in anticipation of Ubisoft's Quick Yoga Training. Actually, it's not even the first exercise title for DS as Konami has already released Let's Yoga and Let's Pilates in the US.

As is often the way with these releases, Quick Yoga Training was developed in Japan, in collaboration with a professional Japanese Yoga instructor no less.

It's designed to provide you with the handheld encouragement to practice yoga at home, including 180 poses which are demonstrated onscreen. You can use the DS' microphone for the breathing exercises, and in addition, you enter your age, weight and yogic aim to get a semi-individualised programme, with daily feedback provided. There's even a glossary of yoga terms and a quiz, if you want to exercise your brain.

Quick Yoga Training is released in the US and Canada in August, but as yet no European date has been scheduled.
