Peggle DS gets a release date

We've been pretty addicted to Peggle iPod and Peggle mobile, but still we're looking forward to seeing what can be done with it on DS. Not least because, back in July, it was confirmed the game is in development with Q Entertainment - the Japanese developer behind the brilliant Lumines and Meteos.

Well, now we know exactly when we can look forward to losing several weeks of our lives to it, as PopCap has revealed a release date for the game - according to Wired, March 3rd, 2009.

While we haven't seen the game - which is a cross between pinball and pachinko and involves firing balls around screens full of pegs - up and running yet, it's expected to feature more levels than existing versions of the game, re-mastered touchscreen controls and other new DS-exclusive features.
