iPhone Peggle slated for early May

Like a rubber ball, it comes bouncing back to iPhone

| Peggle (iPhone)

Peggle is one of those essential games that all platforms are expected to sport, kind of like Bejeweled and Tetris. So the iPhone has been waiting long and hard for PopCap to get Peggle onto the App Store, and according to Joystiq it should be with us shortly.

The unique electronic bagatelle has actually seen quite a substantial delay, but as always we’re happy to wait if a developer is keen to refine a game before releasing it onto the App Store - enough iPhone devs don’t bother.

No news on a price or the quality of the Peggle adaptation, but from what we read on the Joystiq page it looks as though we’re in for a top quality - possibly definitive - version of Peggle.

Keep an eye on Pocket Gamer (and the App Store, of course) for a May 12th release.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
